The Main Non Profit Funding Sources

by Lolita Jacobs

The not for profit organizations help many people freely to get assistance with this or that. However, they have to get the money from somewhere. Maybe you have wondered about non profit funding sources and where that money comes from. Here you can get a glimpse as to where they make their money.

Donors make up a huge percentage of those who help them. Sometimes, the donations are by wealthy families who support their mission. Other times, it might be people whom they have helped. That is just one way they get an income.

Grants are another way. Many of you do not know, but they have a number of grants out there for people. Normally, these companies have someone or a few people working for them that have experience in grant writing. This money normally comes from the government, but might also come from elsewhere.

Partnerships take place and help all the time. Some partner with them because they admire what they are doing. The program might be unique and a dire need in the community. There are many reasons why a business might give a non profit the money and the means to continue on.

Last, a company has to help themselves when it comes to their resources and their needs. So, when money gets tight, they start fundraising. When you tell those out there in the community that it is going for charity, they are usually ready to give.

When you look at these things, you see that they all come together to battle a cause. When it comes to giving resources one might not have, the government is also a big factor that ties in with the grants as they are normally the ones giving these things out.
